Kids, Meet Mozambique!

Bom Dia. Salaama. Lixile. Mwaka bwanji. Magerwa. Mawata. Mangwanani. Jambo. That is to say, "Hello" in Portuguese, Makua, Shangana, Nyanja, Sena, N'Dau, Makonde, and Swahili. Can you imagine there are at least nine languages spoken in Mozambique? I had no idea! This is a web page to share my year in Mozambique with my friends in the U.S. I hope to share a little of what I have seen, heard, tasted, felt, and learned during my year on the other side of the world.

Schools in Africa

Hey kids!

Here are some pictures I was able to get about schools in Mozambique. My friend Jen shared them with me. She is working to distribute laptops to students in rural areas. The lap tops are wind proof, water proof, battery operated, and inexpensive - - all very important for kids who live in tough conditions.
